Kings County Wheated Bourbon

Last month, I was in New York City for work. I spent the morning and afternoon of my last day in a shirt and tie...so naturally I spent the evening and night drinking whiskey to make up for it.

I met three of my best friends from college at the delicious Rucola restaurant in Brooklyn; en route (on foot), I stopped in to Free Range Wine & Spirits, not far from the restaurant to peruse for a bottle to take home.

Lord have mercy, I stumbled upon a 200 mL bottle of Kings County Distillery's wheated bourbon...bottled at cask strength from a single barrel exclusively for the store.  I won't bore you with tasting notes.  It's gone anyway. It was, I think, the best craft whiskey I've ever tasted. Bravo Brooklyn.
