MB Roland Uncut & Unfiltered Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

MB Roland Uncut & Unfiltered Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (Batch 29) is the best craft bourbon I have ever tasted. Paul and MB Tomaszewski have been making whiskey in Pembroke, Kentucky since 2009 when Paul got out of the Army at nearby Fort Campbell.

They bought and converted an Amish dairy farm there and haven't looked back. Cheers to them for having the skill and patience to create such a delicious bourbon. One of these days, I'll get to their annual Pickin' on the Porch event.

MB Roland Uncut & Unfiltered Kentucky Straight Bourbon
110.2 proof
$55 at Liquor Barn in Lexington, KY

Color: Medium amber.

Nose: Brown sugar, barrel char, lacquered wood, raspberry jam, creamy caramel, vanilla extract. Unbelievable nose for a two year old bourbon.

Tasting Notes: Like the aroma, the flavor profile is big and flavorful. The brown sugar, caramel, and vanilla blast through. I get some of the white corn and wet oak on the back end. The heat is just right and the long finish warms the chest.

Overall: A. A really great bourbon. I've been hunting for this for a while and was not disappointed.
